Description:
PSI seeks a highly experienced Chief of Party to lead the Pakistan Flagship TB Activity. The selected candidate will oversee all aspects of project implementation, ensuring technical excellence, financial and administrative compliance, and effective supervision of project teams. The role requires close coordination with national stakeholders, particularly the Ministry of Health, and serves as the primary liaison with USAID, ensuring strategic alignment with PSI’s global mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership & Management: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from start-up to close-out, ensuring timely and high-quality implementation.
- Financial Oversight & Compliance: Manage project budgets, reporting, and ensure donor compliance, particularly with USAID regulations.
- People Management: Supervise, mentor, and build capacity within the project team and partners.
- Strategic Thought Leadership: Utilize evidence-based approaches to refine project design and execution.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent PSI in high-level engagements with the Government of Pakistan, USAID, and other key stakeholders.
- Fundraising & Sustainability: Explore additional funding opportunities and ensure the long-term impact of the program.
- Travel Requirements: 5-10% international travel and 20-35% domestic travel.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in public health program management.
- Previous experience as a Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party, or Project Director on a USAID-funded project preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in tuberculosis (TB) programming.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in Pakistan preferred.
- Proven expertise in managing complex operations under donor regulations in a low- or middle-income country (LMIC).
- Strong financial and grants management skills, including oversight of sub-grants.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with government agencies, donors, and international partners.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong strategic planning and execution capabilities.
