Description:
As the group CFO, you will be working purposefully to develop and improve the current financial function across the various companies in the group. You will establish structure and systems for financial management, reporting, and analysis. As the top responsible for the financial function, you will also be responsible for and group’s point of contact towards the bank, auditor, etc. The position will also be a central partner and supporter to the Group CEO.
It is important that you are a structured and targeted professional leader and a resource throughout the organization. You are self-driven and have a good business understanding and overview that enables you to make priorities while keeping the long-term perspective in mind. You are a team player who communicates well across the different companies, as you will also have a professional responsibility for the respective financial managers.
🔷 Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Strategic Financial Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership for the finance function across multiple business units or subsidiaries within the group. Align financial objectives with the overall goals of the organization and its various entities.
🔹 Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the development of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the group as a whole, as well as for individual business units or divisions. Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
🔹 Financial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee financial reporting processes for the group, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards across all entities.
🔹 Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks at both the group and subsidiary levels, including market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, and operational risk. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the group's financial health.
🔹 Capital Allocation and Investment Decision-Making: Manage capital allocation across the group's various businesses and projects, including mergers and acquisitions, capital expenditures, and strategic investments. Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations to optimize returns.
🔹 Stakeholder Management: Serve as a key liaison between the group's executive leadership, board of directors, investors, and other stakeholders. Communicate financial performance, strategy, and risks effectively to internal and external audiences.
🔹 Financial Governance and Controls: Establish and maintain robust financial governance frameworks and internal controls to ensure integrity, transparency, and accountability in financial operations across the group.
🔹 Strategic Partnerships and Alliances: Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures that support the group's growth objectives and enhance its competitive position in the market.
🔶 Requirements:
🔸 At least 8 years of post-qualification experience in a senior financial leadership role.
🔸Qualification: CA, MBA-Finance, ACCA or equivalent
🔸Relevant international certification in finance is a plus
🔸Experience in maritime transportation, shipping, sea freight, courier, transportation & logistics is desirable
🔸 Proficiency in IFRS/IAS/GAAP, auditing, taxation, budgeting, fiscal laws and their application
🔸Proven experience in strategic planning and financial reporting, with strong leadership and communication skills.
🔸Proven ability to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives
