Chief Engineer

Hotel Mehran in Karachi is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to oversee the maintenance and repair activities within the hotel. This role involves managing systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing maintenance schedules, overseeing contractors, and managing energy consumption within the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, manage, and supervise maintenance and repair activities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, etc.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs.
• Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and budgets.
• Train and manage the engineering team to deliver high-quality work efficiently.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to ensure guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.).
• Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
