Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) - Lead Pursuit to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to pursue leads and generate new business opportunities on various platforms, including Upwork, Slack, Reddit, LinkedIn, and Bark. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a strong understanding of these platforms, and a passion for sales.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation: Utilize platforms like Upwork, Slack, Reddit, LinkedIn, and Bark to identify potential leads and gather relevant information about them.
2. Prospecting: Engage with prospects through these platforms, initiating conversations, and establishing rapport to understand their needs and pain points.
3. Qualification: Conduct thorough research and qualifying conversations to determine the viability of leads and assess their potential as sales opportunities.
4. Outreach: Utilize platform-specific messaging, comments, and other communication channels to reach out to leads, introducing our company's products or services, and scheduling appointments or demonstrations.
5. Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with leads through consistent engagement and follow-ups, nurturing them from initial interest to qualified sales opportunities.
6. Collaboration: Collaborate with the sales team to align messaging, share insights, and provide regular updates on lead status and progress.
7. Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all lead interactions, activities, and outcomes using CRM software or other designated tools.
8. Stay Informed: Stay updated with industry trends, competitors, and changes in platform algorithms to optimize lead generation strategies.
9. Feedback: Provide feedback to the marketing team on the effectiveness of campaigns, messaging, and overall lead quality on these platforms.
10. Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed assigned targets for lead generation, conversion rates, and revenue generation.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Sales Development Representative or similar role, preferably with a focus on pursuing leads on platforms such as Upwork, Slack, Reddit, LinkedIn, etc.
2. Strong knowledge and understanding of these platforms, including best practices for engagement and lead generation.
3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and build rapport with prospects.
4. Strong research and analytical skills to effectively identify and qualify potential leads.
5. Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets and goals.
6. Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools for lead management and tracking.
7. Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also being a collaborative team player.
8. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
9. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
