Business Development Officer

 

Description:

As the Business Development Officer (Pakistan), you will play a crucial role in establishing and expanding Scot-Study's presence in Pakistan. This is a leadership position that requires a self-starter with a strong sense of accountability, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work independently. You will be responsible for initiating and coordinating activities related to our expansion plan in Pakistan, replicating operations from the head office in the UK, and eventually building and leading a team in Pakistan with a plan to map out activities for expansion in Bangladesh.

 

Key Responsibilities:

* Initiate and lead business development activities in Pakistan to increase Scot-Study's market presence.

* Build and maintain relationships with study abroad consultants/agents in the Pakistani education industry.

* Visit and negotiate with schools and colleges in Pakistan for partnership opportunities.

* Plan and host education fairs or participate in relevant events to promote Scot-Study's services.

* Coordinate and replicate operations from the head office in Scotland, ensuring alignment with company standards and policies.

* Contribute ideas and insights on market entry strategies and strategic plans for Pakistan.

* Travel extensively within Pakistan to meet with partners, attend events, and explore growth opportunities and map out activities to execute occasional travel to Bangladesh

* Work collaboratively with the head office, bridging communication gaps due to time differences with thorough documentation.

* Project and report accountability, providing regular updates to the head office on activities and progress.

* Flexibly manage a 40-hour work week, with the understanding that travel and weekend work may be required.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

 

* A Bachelor’s degree; experience and interest in business development are essential.

* Proven experience in the study abroad consultancy industry, with a network of contacts among consultants/agents.

* Leadership skills with the ability to start and manage a team in Pakistan and share enthusiasm to replicate process in Bangladesh.

* Strong understanding of the study abroad market in Pakistan and growth opportunities in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work independently and take initiative.

* Flexibility to work outside regular office hours as needed.
