Description:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth and expansion within our Shopify services division. As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving sales for our Shopify services. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in e-commerce, a proven track record of success in sales and business development, and a deep understanding of the Shopify platform.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to grow our Shopify services division.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Shopify ecosystem, including merchants, agencies, and technology partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the Shopify community, including Shopify Plus merchants, app developers, and solution partners.
• Collaborate with our marketing team to create targeted campaigns and initiatives to drive awareness and generate leads for our Shopify services.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats within the Shopify ecosystem.
• Work closely with our sales team to qualify leads, develop proposals, and close deals with Shopify merchants and agencies.
• Track and report on key performance metrics, including pipeline growth, revenue targets, and market share.
• Represent our company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote our Shopify services and expand our presence within the Shopify community.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the e-commerce or digital marketing industry.
• Strong understanding of the Shopify platform and its ecosystem, including Shopify Plus features and capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients and partners.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, develop actionable plans, and drive results.
• Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and business objectives.
• Self-motivated and proactive with a high level of initiative and drive.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working for or with Shopify Plus merchants or agencies.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, technologies, and trends.
• Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tactics, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media.
• Previous experience with CRM software, such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
