Responsibilities
As a Business Developer/Upwork Bidder, you will:
- Manage existing profiles, and work on creating other impressive Upwork profiles.
- Identify relevant projects on Upwork and other freelancing platforms.
- Write tailored, engaging proposals to secure projects.
- Communicate effectively with potential clients to understand project requirements and ensure repeat business.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and timelines with clients.
- Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly targets for project acquisition.
- Prepare regular reports on bidding activities and project statuses.
Qualifications & Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience as an Upwork Bidder.
- Be willing to present impressive results for work done with previous clients (bid-to-win ratio).
- Must be available according to the client’s timezone, apart from regular working hours.
- Strong understanding of freelancing platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A background in technology or IT is a plus.
- Ability to write compelling and customized proposals.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, web development, and related fields (preferred).
- Strong negotiation, networking, and interpersonal skills.
- A results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving targets.
- Must be available for weekly on-site meetings.
