Assistant Warehouse Officer

Description:

Ingredion, a Fortune 500 provider of ingredient solutions, is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Officer – Maize to oversee warehouse operations, ensuring safe maize inbound, storage, and dispatch while maintaining EHSS standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory management, logistics, and warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

📦 Warehouse Operations:
✔ Supervise and control maize/cobs receipt, stacking, storage, and delivery to production.
✔ Ensure smooth warehouse operations while maintaining safety & security procedures.
✔ Maintain proper storage conditions to protect corn from adverse weather.
✔ Oversee cob shelling and drying operations when required.
✔ Monitor timely movement of maize from warehouse to plant as per production needs.
✔ Ensure proper fumigation and pest control to maintain product quality.

⚙️ Inventory & Compliance:
✔ Keep accurate inventory records for Bardana and related materials.
✔ Ensure all warehouse operations comply with IMS standards and company policies.
✔ Conduct fumigation and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) to prevent contamination.
✔ Maintain an adequate stock of fumigants and support materials.

🚀 Efficiency & Innovation:
✔ Generate and update reports and warehouse statistics for record-keeping.
✔ Optimize logistics management to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
✔ Implement warehouse layout improvements, equipment maintenance, and repairs.
✔ Identify and address workplace hazards and safety risks.
✔ Execute special projects as assigned by management.

👥 People Management:
✔ Lead a team, ensuring clear job expectations and performance monitoring.
✔ Train, coach, and provide development opportunities for warehouse staff.
✔ Collaborate with third-party contractors to optimize warehouse functions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

✔ Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferably in Supply Chain Management or equivalent).
✔ Experience: 2-4 years in Stores & Inventory Management.
✔ Skills & Knowledge:
🔹 Strong attention to detail in inventory management and dispatch processes.
🔹 Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
🔹 Experience in SAP or similar ERP systems for warehouse activities.
🔹 Proficiency in logistics coordination and inbound/outbound planning.
🔹 Strong team collaboration and leadership abilities.
✔ Language: Fluency in English (written & spoken).
