Assistant Manager Inventory

 

Description:

Key responsibilities includes:

1. Having detailed knowledge of MS Office & inventory management software.

2. Overseeing inventory levels of construction-specific materials.

3. Working closely with suppliers to maintain steady stock levels, track orders, and manage lead times, especially for bulk orders or critical items.

4. Conducting regular inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy and quality.

5. Managing the receiving of materials, inspecting shipments for quality and quantity, and coordinating the proper storage and organization of materials in the store or warehouse to avoid deterioration and ensure easy access.

6. Working with project managers to forecast demand based on project timelines, adjusting inventory levels and orders to meet project needs without overstocking.

7. Implementing security measures to prevent theft and loss.

8. Tracking and managing construction equipment, ensuring they are maintained, in good working condition, and available when needed.

9. Maintaining detailed records of stock levels, usage, and order history.

10. Supervising and training the inventory team on best practices, from handling construction materials to inventory software usage, and ensuring a collaborative and efficient working environment.

 

Qualification & Experience: Bachelor in Business administration and 3 to 5 years of experience in the relevant field.
