Assistant Manager Innovation & Commercialization

 

Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Manager for our Innovation & Commercialization team within the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC). The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting students in transforming their ideas into viable business solutions, fostering industry partnerships, and managing programs that drive innovation and business growth from university research.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Education: Graduate or Master's degree.
  • Experience: Proven work experience in the ORIC department at an HEC recognized university.

  • Duties & Responsibilities:

     

    Student Support:

    • Assist students in developing their ideas into practical solutions for businesses.
    • Provide mentorship and guidance on project development and commercialization strategies.
    • Organize workshops and training sessions to enhance students' entrepreneurial skills.

    Industry Partnership Development:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with local industries to align university research with market needs.
    • Collaborate with industry partners to identify opportunities for research commercialization.
    • Facilitate industry-academia collaborations for joint research projects and technology transfer.

    Program Management:

    • Manage and oversee innovation and commercialization programs that promote business growth derived from university research.
    • Develop and implement strategies to encourage faculty and students to engage in innovative research projects.
    • Monitor and evaluate the impact of commercialization activities and programs.

    Administrative Duties:

    • Prepare reports and presentations on the progress and outcomes of innovation and commercialization initiatives.
    • Coordinate with other university departments to ensure seamless execution of ORIC programs.
    • Assist in securing funding and grants to support innovation and commercialization efforts.
