Description:
The Assistant Manager Communication will be responsible for planning, designing, and implementing public awareness campaigns for waste management services in Murree District. The role involves engaging with schools, residential, and commercial areas to raise awareness about effective waste management practices. The Assistant Manager will also ensure proper branding of all containers, hand carts, waste drums, and operational fleet, in line with client-approved designs/specimens. Coordination with internal teams, external stakeholders, and the client will be key to the role’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign Planning & Execution:
- Develop a comprehensive micro plan for the public awareness campaign covering schools, residential, and commercial areas.
- Design and oversee communication strategies tailored to different demographics (students, residents, business owners).
- Coordinate with educational institutions, local communities, and businesses to organize awareness activities.
- Ensure the campaign meets the client’s objectives and is executed within approved timelines and budget.
- Branding & Promotional Activities:
- Collaborate with designers and operational teams to ensure proper branding of containers, hand carts, waste drums, and fleet vehicles.
- Ensure all branding materials align with client-approved designs/specimens.
- Conduct periodic audits of the branding efforts to ensure consistent application across all assets.
- Develop promotional materials (flyers, banners, social media content) for public engagement.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Client Coordination:
- Act as the primary liaison between the contractor and the client for matters related to the public awareness campaign.
- Submit detailed reports and updates to the client, including campaign progress, challenges, and successes.
- Seek client approval for campaign materials and ensure compliance with their guidelines.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the awareness campaign through surveys, feedback, and engagement metrics.
- Prepare and submit periodic progress reports, including qualitative and quantitative data on the campaign’s reach and impact.
- Adjust strategies based on client feedback and community response to maximize the campaign’s effectiveness.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead a small team responsible for implementing the campaign at the grassroots level.
- Collaborate closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure that branded waste management assets are deployed as per the plan.
- Train and guide field staff to ensure consistent messaging and professional conduct during public interactions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in communications, public awareness campaigns, or branding, preferably in the environmental or waste management sector.
- Proven experience in planning and executing public campaigns at the community level.
- Strong organizational, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to produce clear, concise, and engaging communication materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital marketing tools.
