Description:
We are a leading importer and exporter of coal and cement in Pakistan, and now embarking on the launch of our own cement brand. We are seeking a highly experienced Area Sales Manager for Cement Sales to drive the sales and marketing efforts for our new cement brand in Peshawar and surrounding regions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and marketing, particularly in the building materials or cement industry, and will play a key role in establishing our brand and increasing market share.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to promote the company’s new cement brand and achieve sales targets.
- Identify and tap into new market segments, building strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key customers.
- Drive regional sales efforts to increase the company’s market share in Peshawar and surrounding regions.
Brand Development & Marketing:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns that enhance brand awareness and drive product demand.
- Ensure the company’s cement brand is well-positioned in the market through consistent branding, promotions, and outreach efforts.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to recommend product positioning strategies.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, including construction companies, distributors, retailers, and government entities.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular visits to clients and potential customers to strengthen business relationships and generate new sales leads.
Sales Forecasting & Reporting:
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, analyze sales data, and report on performance against sales targets to senior management.
- Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
- Provide detailed reports on market conditions, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Distribution & Supply Chain Coordination:
- Work closely with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of cement to customers.
- Coordinate with distributors and retailers to manage stock levels and ensure product availability in the market.
- Ensure proper inventory management and timely fulfillment of orders.
Market Research & Competitor Analysis:
- Conduct regular market research to identify new sales opportunities, emerging trends, and potential customers in the cement industry.
- Analyze competitors’ products, pricing, and promotional strategies to inform sales and marketing efforts.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of promotional campaigns and adjust strategies to maximize impact.
Sales Team Support & Development:
- Support the sales team in achieving their targets by providing guidance, training, and assistance in the field.
- Help develop and implement sales training programs to ensure the team is well-equipped with product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Motivate and encourage team members to achieve their individual and collective sales goals.
Customer & Market Intelligence:
- Stay updated on the latest market trends, customer preferences, and construction industry developments in the region.
- Use market intelligence to refine sales strategies and improve customer engagement.
Key Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in sales and marketing in Cement Industry is compulsory.
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful sales strategies, particularly in regional or local markets.
- Experience working with distributors, retailers, and large-scale construction clients is highly preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of marketing techniques and their application in building materials or cement sales.
- Ability to analyze market data, forecast trends, and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
