Architectural Engineer

 

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Engineer with a specialization in building structural analysis to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will combine their expertise in architectural design and structural engineering to develop safe, innovative, and sustainable building solutions. You will play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity and performance of our architectural projects, working closely with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Structural Analysis & Design:

• Perform structural analysis and design for buildings, including load calculations, stress analysis, and seismic evaluations.

• Assess the structural feasibility of architectural concepts and ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.

 

Collaboration with Teams:

• Work closely with architects, MEP engineers, and construction teams to integrate structural solutions into the design process.

• Provide expert input on material selection, construction methods, and innovative structural systems.

 

Technical Documentation:

• Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.

• Review and approve structural shop drawings and ensure accuracy in execution.

 

Code Compliance:

• Ensure all designs meet local, national, and international building codes and standards.

• Stay updated with changes in regulations and implement best practices in structural design.

 

Project Management:

• Participate in project planning, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

• Monitor construction progress to address structural challenges and ensure quality standards are met.

 

Innovation & Research:

• Research and implement advanced software tools and techniques for structural analysis and simulation.

• Explore sustainable and innovative building systems that improve efficiency and performance.

 

Qualifications:

 

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field with a focus on structural engineering.

 

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in structural analysis and design, preferably in the building industry.

 

• Skills:

• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or similar tools.

• Strong understanding of material properties, including concrete, steel, timber, and composites.

• Knowledge of BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD) is an advantage.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
