Android Developer

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Android Engineer to join our dynamic tech team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in developing native Android applications using Kotlin and the Android SDK. Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. You will work alongside other engineers and developers working on different infrastructure layers.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Kotlin code

• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code

• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application

• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

Skills

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and deep familiarity with the Android SDK.

• Experience with Gradle and Android Studio for project management and development.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services

• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices using the View system and ViewModels

• Experience with Google Maps

• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks

• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications

• A knack for benchmarking and optimization

• Familiarity with Google Play Store publishing, submission guidelines, and best practices.

• Understanding of Google’s Android design principles, patterns, and best practices using the View system and ViewModels

• Experience with Google Maps

• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks

• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications

• A knack for benchmarking and optimization

• Familiarity with Google Play Store publishing, submission guidelines, and best practices.

• Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git and GitHub and bitbacket proficiency

• Familiarity with CI/CD and GitHub & Bitbucket Actions.
