Description:
• As an Admission Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing the admission process, evaluating applications, and supporting prospective students in their journey to join our academic community.
• The admission officer plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive assistance, guidance, and support to students. Working closely with various academic departments and student services, the specialist ensures that students receive the necessary resources, information, and assistance to succeed academically and socially during their time at the institution.
Responsibilities
• Assisting students in completing enrolment with the awarding body during recruitment.
• Evaluate and analyse admission applications, ensuring compliance with university policies and standards.
• Effectively communicate with prospective students based in London and other locations, providing information about admission requirements, programs, and the application process.
• Conduct virtual interviews and organize online information sessions to engage with potential students and address their queries.
• Represent the university at virtual recruitment events, online college fairs, and participate in webinars to promote admissions and build relationships with prospective students.
• Collaborate with academic departments, faculty, and other university staff virtually to stay informed about program requirements and changes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of applicants through online systems, including documentation of all virtual communication and decisions.
• Ensure compliance with university admission policies and guidelines while working at LSST SLO.
• Provide academic advising to students, assisting them in course selection, academic planning, and degree progression.
• Help students understand academic policies, requirements, and procedures.
• Monitor students' academic performance and identify those in need of additional support.
• Offer a supportive and empathetic ear to students facing personal challenges, and refer them to appropriate counselling services if necessary.
• Connect students with available university resources such as tutoring, workshops, career services, and health facilities.
• Collaborate with different departments to address student needs effectively.
• Foster open communication with faculty, staff, and administrators to address student needs collaboratively.
• Work with Exams department.
• Deal with student queries over the phone and support them effectively.
• Calling and chasing the non-engaging students on daily basis.
• Conduct termly telephone exit reviews for students on the last year of the program.
• Call and chase the students with outstanding balance of tuition fee.
• To manage and develop the work carried out by the registry team, making effective use of time and resources to meet the school responsibilities.
• To apply a full understanding of the policy and school processes that underpin key stages of the student life cycle and their implications for student & curriculum record keeping and the submission and impact of statutory returns.
• To assist in creating termly timetable for students.
• Assist in maintaining accurate student record on Student Management System (SMS) and on new system – Treble SITS which is installation process.
• To be able to timely and accurately administer the day-to-day processing of all incoming student record information, undertaking active data quality verification exercises and running various routines to calculate and update data.
• To work with and support in other departments as and when required.
Skills and Experience Required
• Candidate should be fluent in English.
• Bachelor/Master’s Degree
• + 2 years of experience
• Previous experience in university admissions or a related field is preferred.
• A high level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Good Microsoft office skills specially MS Excel
• Familiarity with academic programs and admission requirements.
• A high level of proficiency in the use and management of student record information systems; preference will be given to those who have worked with the similar student management system.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of higher education trends and policies.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently.
• A high level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency in data analysis and computer skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

• Highly developed organizational, communication and presentation skills to handle student queries over the phone and support them effectively
