VASL, Inc. is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Bookkeeping Manager to oversee our bookkeeping operations for multiple US clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and financial management, along with the skills to lead and supervise a team of bookkeepers. This role involves direct client interaction for reporting and customer success, ensuring smooth and efficient financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Financial Management:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, payroll processing, and reconciliations for multiple clients.
- Oversee cash flow management and reporting.
- Handle project costing and financial reporting.
Team Management:
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train bookkeepers/accountants and professional accounting staff in the finance department.
- Supervise and lead a team of bookkeepers, providing guidance, support, and task assignments.
- Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the team’s work.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations
Client Interaction:
- Attend client meetings for reporting purposes and to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns and providing financial insights.
- Operational Excellence:
- Monitor and ensure smooth operation of all bookkeeping activities.
- Implement and maintain best practices for bookkeeping processes.
Qualifications:
- ACMA, ACCA, or CA finalist.
- Experience working with US clients.
- Familiarity with financial regulations and standards in the US.
- At least 5-7 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience (preferably 3-5 years of supervisory role experience required)
- Proven experience in managing a team of bookkeepers.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, including cash flow management, project costing, Accounts Receivable/Payable, Invoicing, Payroll processing, and Reconciliations.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Xero.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
