Accountant

Description:

Sumato Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join its finance team. This role is ideal for individuals with 1 to 2 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably within the IT sector. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance, managing cash flow, and assisting in financial reporting.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

✅ Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
✅ Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring proper documentation for all financial transactions.
✅ Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
✅ Support budgeting and forecasting by providing necessary financial data and analysis.
✅ Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
✅ Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial information.
✅ Assist with audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
✅ Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring timely payments and collections.
✅ Maintain and improve financial processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
✅ Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices.

Requirements & Skills:

✔ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
✔ 1 to 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the IT sector.
✔ Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
✔ Proficiency in accounting software, MS Excel, and MS Word.
✔ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
✔ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
✔ Good organizational and time management abilities.
✔ Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
✔ Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

Preferred Skills:

➤ Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
➤ Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance.
➤ Knowledge of ERP systems will be an advantage.
