Description:
As an Account Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing client relationships, driving PR campaigns, and providing strategic counsel to clients. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of Account Managers and Executives, ensuring client satisfaction, and contributing to the growth and success of our PR firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Management:
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their needs, objectives, and concerns
- Develop a deep understanding of clients' industries, markets, and competitors
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive PR and communication strategies for clients
- Provide strategic counsel to clients on PR and marketing initiatives
- Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities for clients
Team Leadership:
- Lead a team of Account Managers and Account Executives, providing guidance and mentorship
- Delegate tasks, set clear objectives, and ensure the team meets project deadlines
- Conduct performance evaluations and support team members in their professional development
Campaign Management:
- Oversee the execution of PR campaigns, ensuring they align with client goals and objectives
- Monitor campaign progress and adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes
- Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively
Media Relations:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key media contacts
- Pitch client stories and secure media placements in relevant outlets
- Monitor media coverage and provide regular reports to clients
Crisis Management:
- Develop crisis communication plans and provide guidance to clients during challenging situations
- Act swiftly and effectively to mitigate reputational risks
New Business Development:
- Identify new business opportunities and participate in pitches and proposals
- Contribute to the growth of the PR firm by expanding the client portfolio
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in business administration, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of proven experience in a senior-level PR role, preferably within an agency setting
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Strong command over Microsoft Excel, Word and Power point
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and execute PR strategies
- Demonstrated success in client relationship management and business development
- Proficiency in media relations and crisis communication
- Familiarity with PR tools and software.
- A strong interest in AI tools that help in efficiently delivering Digital and PR jobs
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
