The Role: As an engineer within the augmented and virtual reality team, you will have the opportunity to create high quality three-dimensional models, animations, and visual effects. You must be well versed with high-performance 3D modelling frameworks and tools. Good spatial skills and a programming background will help you succeed in this job.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage digital assets
- Prototype and iterate on models and characters based on feedback from team members
- Create textures and UV maps
- Optimize, refine and correct model geometry
- Rig models and characters for animation
- Use 3D modelling in tools like Blender, Maya and 3dx Max (shape keys, texture baking, rendering, rigging, sculpting etc.).
- Stay abreast with the latest developments in 3D design, capture and modeling tools and technologies.
Basic Qualifications: We are looking for a candidate having 3-5 years of experience with the following skill set:
- Strong knowledge of 3D animations, motion graphics and interactive 3D applications.
- Extensive experience with 3D modeling software, i.e., Blender, Maya, 3dx Max, Marvelous studio etc. Must have shipped at least one product developed using these 3D modeling engines.
- Knowledge of common computer animation constructs and skills such as skinning, texturing, key frame animation, shape keys & Armatures etc., including file formats and conversion.
- Extensive knowledge of character design, rigging, skinning etc.
- Knowledge of creating optimal 3D assets for VR Environments.
- Excellent software design, problem solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to learn, embrace and apply new technologies and techniques.
- Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines.
- Strong communicator and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
