2d Pixel Artist

Description:

We are looking for a talented “2D Artist/Animator” with expertise in pixel art to join our in-house team to deliver a large variety of dynamic content types for our games. A successful candidate will be an Artist who is skilled in digital illustration, motion design, pixel art creation, and using generative AI tools. This is a critical role which focuses on developing visual designs using a blend of creative and technical skills.
Responsibilities:

· Create amazing 2D illustrations, backgrounds, animations, and pixel art featuring characters, weapons, and equipment in a variety of exciting styles
· Design and create original pixel art character designs, environments, and assets based on project requirements
· Animate pixel art illustrations to bring characters and scenes to life
· Polish 2D art and pixel art made by humans and generative AI tools
· Work collaboratively with an onsite studio team while multi-tasking on a high volume of content under tight deadlines
Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
· Exceptional skills and expertise in digital sketching, drawing, painting, and pixel art creation as well as advanced expertise in working with generative AI tools such as Stable Diffusion, Vizcom, Dall-E, or equivalent
· Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional pixel art skills, including character design, environment creation, and animation
· Proficiency in pixel art creation tools such as Aseprite, Pyxel Edit, or Adobe Photoshop
· A solid foundation in animation principles using a variety of animation packages
· An amazing attention to quality, color, visual storytelling, anatomy, graphic design, and motion
· An impressive creative portfolio demonstrating the ability to generate a variety of content types that use characters, weapons, environments in different styles, including pixel art, to tell a visual story
· A team player personality, who is good at taking direction, works efficiently and has excellent communication skills
· The ability to self-manage and to identify and meet deadlines and goals
· Excellent problem-solving abilities, both creatively and technically
· High proficiency in the use of Adobe Creative Suite programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and other relevant design tools
· 5+ years' experience in interactive media, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field, with a strong focus on pixel art.
